Good Samaritan Health Systems in Kearney is 28 miles south of Ravenna. This is a medical-surgical, acute care hospital. The hospital provides inpatient services including medicine, surgery, obstetrics, pediatrics, coronary intensive care, neonatal intensive car, and medical and radiation oncology. Rehabilitation services are enhanced through an inpatient rehabilitation known as Company Care. Comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services support the inpatient care program.

Richard H. Young Hospital, (308) 865-2000, is a premier mental health center in the region. The 80-bed facility is fully accredited and specializes in youth, adolescent, and adult behavioral health services. Complete acute care and outpatient psychiatric counseling services are also provided.

St. Francis Medical Center is located 30 miles east of Ravenna in Grand Island. They provide outstanding care in areas such as oncology, cardiology, home care, maternity, and pediatric care services.

Nursing Homes/Assisted Care Facilities

The Good Samaritan Nursing Home, located at 411 W. Genoa Street, is a part of the the Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society. The Ravenna Good Samaritan Center (RGSC) is a 67-bed skilled nursing facility and offers outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapy. RGSC offers the security of a 24-hour nursing staff, personal physician care, spacious private and semi-private rooms, housekeeping and laundry services, and dietary services catering to an individual resident needs. There are daily activities with special monthly outings, on site barber/beauty salon, daily spiritual fulfillment, adult day care, cable TV and transportation available for scheduled appointments. RGSC is proud to announce they will soon have a special care unit ready for Alzheimers and other related memory loss victims. RGSC is wheelchair accessible, Medicare, Medicaid, and V.A. certified. Ravenna Eye Clinic, a branch of Grand Island Optical, is located at 323 Grand Avenue. Exams and other eye care needs are provided at the part-time clinic. The Ravenna Eye Clinic is open on Tuesdays from 9 to 5. For further information call (308) 452-4052.

Dental Clinic

Ravenna Dental Clinic, (308) 452-3523, is located at 102 W. Seneca Street. Currently there are two dentists that operate from the clinic. The Ravenna Dentral Clinic is open Monday thru Thursday from 9 to 5 and Fridays from 9 to noon.
